Perhaps you've noticed, perhaps you've not, but I haven't really been hanging out around these here parts much lately. I've been trying to convince myself that I'm just going through another blogging slump, but I think it's more than that. I've been thinking about this here blog a lot lately. What can I do to improve it? What can I do to make myself excited about it?
And right there is the problem. I'm not excited about it anymore.
Perhaps my passion has been rerouted to the book blog. Perhaps Mrs. Dork the blog simply got swept aside in all of the craziness of life. Whatever it may be, I no longer, at this time, have the desire to continue running Mrs. Dork.
However, I'm not officially giving up. Though I don't have the same passion for this blog as I did when I started it, I have hope that it will be restored after some time away. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, they say. Perhaps as the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, I'll find my passion for fashion. But if I don't, then I suppose this is goodbye.
I hope it's not. I hope to be renewed and refreshed with this break. But if I'm not, and I never have the desire to return, I've had an awesome adventure and incredible opportunities. And if this is goodbye, I know that there will be new adventures in my future.
If you want to get in touch, I'm not completely gone! You can still find me at thegirlsinplaidskirts.com. (Feel free to drop me a line on our twitter @thegirlsinplaid--I check it obsessively). I'll also still be checking my blog email, which is mrsdorkblog @yahoo.com. And of course, I'll still be posting adorable pictures of Oxford on my Instagram. (@mrsdork)
Thank you to everyone who has supported me. Y'all have been awesome. I hope to see you around the blogosphere soon.
